I almost lost my job because of that. Now, this is very far from occurring again given these best hard drive recovery services.

Comment on Good Ol’ Token Ring by OlSkoolJoe http://www.leandrodonofrio.com/good-ol-token-ring/#comment-4 Fri, 12 May 2017 04:25:44 +0000 http://www.leandrodonofrio.com/?p=45#comment-4 I loved Token-Ring, frankly. I felt like it was given a bad rap – a bit like the Betamax of hard wired networking technologies. I even had a Token-Ring network at our shop running flawlessly until about 2009. This was simple stuff, but it sucks that it lost prominence.

Maybe I’m just nostalgic for the tech boom. Those were great ol’ times.

I lost a number of extremely important files in the past which were mostly due to virus. I can’t go back to where I came from just to have my hard drive fixed in case this happens again.

But I guess what I can recommend is picking the company with the most pleasing background. You can never go wrong with the company that former customers commend.

But after learning about the innovations made to overcome this, I guess I’ll be back to video conferencing again some time in the near future.

Comment on The 5 best damned text editors for Windows by Ben Costello http://www.leandrodonofrio.com/the-5-best-damned-text-editors-for-windows/#comment-12 Mon, 06 Jun 2016 00:53:15 +0000 http://www.leandrodonofrio.com/?p=87#comment-12 How about Atom? I have switched from Notepad++ on Windows and Sublime on Mac (for most text and prog) because I can use Atom on Mac and Windows and get used to the same key bindings etc. From the site: “Prebuilt versions of Atom are available for OS X 10.8 or later, Windows 7 & 8, RedHat Linux, and Ubuntu Linux.”

Still Beta but at least an honorable mention?
