I have switched from Notepad++ on Windows and Sublime on Mac (for most text and prog) because I can use Atom on Mac and Windows and get used to the same key bindings etc. From the site: “Prebuilt versions of Atom are available for OS X 10.8 or later, Windows 7 & 8, RedHat Linux, and Ubuntu Linux.”

Still Beta but at least an honorable mention?
