Overclocked Intel Core i9-11900K surpasses the 7 GHz bar

Powered by Rog-Fisher overclockers and extreme liquid nitrogen cooling.

The following components were used as a test bench:

Processor - Intel Core i9-11900K;
Motherboard - ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Apex;
Video card - GeForce GT 710 2048 MB (GK208) @ 954 MHz;
RAM - Single mode: G.Skill 8192 MB (DDR4-2137) - XMP 2.0 - P / N: F4-4000C15-8GTRG;
Solid State Drive - Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500GB;
Operating system - Microsoft Windows 10 (10.0) Professional 64-bit;
Monitor - ASUS CU4K30 (ASU6664).

CPU-Z Validation recorded a frequency of 7047.88 MHz, which was reached at a voltage of 1.873 volts. From now on, all three records are held by Rog-Fisher:

Recently Indian enthusiasts managed to overclock the Intel Core i9-11900K to 6.5 GHz (1.7 volts). To do this, they needed a special BIOS version for the ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Hero motherboard, which unlocked the voltage up to 2 volts.

Since the processor was provided by Intel, the guys cannot publicly demonstrate the results in benchmarks exactly until the eleventh series processors go on sale.
